NewsHash

A blockchain solution for the fight against fake news

Acoer teamed up with Forkast.News to develop a proof of concept called NewsHash. NewsHash is an experimentation to illustrate how a blockchain solution could be used in the fight against fake news. Every item, including the article, the video, the video transcript and the illustration, has been timestamped and a fingerprint of each asset has been recorded on an immutable ledger called Hedera Hashgraph. The "read mode" of this page is no different than a regular news page, but if you enable the "prove mode", you'll be able to verify, and see the stamps of every asset. Each stamp is represented as a QR code that you can scan and you'll be redirected to ACOER Scanner Page to show you the content of the stamp.
